AI Agents

AI Agents are built into the Akuity Platform to troubleshoot, remediate, and advise on your Argo CD applications, Kargo promotions, and Kubernetes workloads. They work from the live state of your clusters and the context of your Argo CD and Kargo instances, calling platform tools to fetch application trees, read logs, diff manifests, and search documentation. Within the guardrails you define through tool policies and runbooks, they can also act on your behalf.

The Akuity Platform ships three agents. The Deployment Advisor answers questions and runs scheduled tasks against the Argo CD applications, Kargo projects, and namespaces you select. The On-Call Agent opens incidents when resources degrade and follows your runbooks to diagnose and fix them. The Promotion Advisor reviews the changes in a Kargo promotion and reports the risk before you ship. To get started, see Enable AI Agents. To use your own model provider, see Bring Your Own Models / Keys.

📄️On-Call Agent

The On-Call Agent automates troubleshooting and remediation for your degraded Argo CD applications and Kubernetes namespaces by executing predefined runbooks. An incident is an investigation of a namespace or app in a degraded state. Incidents are either kicked off automatically by the On-Call Agent upon a detected degraded state or manually when a user converts a conversation to an incident. Once the incident is created, the On-Call Agent will begin troubleshooting and triage. An incident follows the same pattern as a conversation with the Deployment Advisor with a couple of key differences:
